THE HARD TRUTH

Every 9 seconds in the US a woman is assaulted

Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women—more than car accidents, muggings, and rapes combined

Studies suggest that up to 10 million children witness some form of domestic violence annually

Nearly 1 in 5 teenage girls who have been in a relationship said a boyfriend threatened violence or self-harm if presented with a breakup

Everyday in the US, more than three women are murdered by their husbands or boyfriends

 THE PROJECT

It is our hope, our mission

 To.......

 POSITIVELY IMPACT WOMEN

 BY THIS PROJECT

Welcome to the Anonymously Yours Project. It's time we break the chains of domestic violence. It's time we speak!  I wanted this site for YOU.

There are many of us who have been touched by the abusive behavior of others.  I wanted this site as a way of speaking out.  A way of sharing our experiences and our voices.  I believe by coming together we can do so much.  And it is TIME for change.  Time for healing.  Time we join together against the bad being done to so many by so many.

I hope this site is a source of healing and strength.  Please share your story with me so I may post on your behalf.

Please know we are here for you.

My daughter, Christina, is a co-founder and contributor to this site. We are both survivors of domestic violence by the hands of men we loved and trusted.  As many children of victims, she witnessed me as her mother being controlled, beaten and ultimately broken.  We teach our children what they become, we teach them what to accept.  We teach them what is love.  She too, became a victim later in her young adult life.  I am now showing her what I look like as a strong woman who stands up and speaks out!  This is the example we must set for our children.  For our friends, for our sisters, for all the world.

Together we have joined to be a voice to victims and survivors to share our experences and our story.  And to say YOU CAN DO IT!  You can STOP being a victim.  This is a judge free zone.  A place you can be you!

Thanks, Tina - AYP Founder.
